There are several cardiac markers that can be used for acute myocardial infarction (AMI) diagnosis, such as CK-MB, Myoglobin, Troponin I, CRP, FABP and IMA. Amid the acute infarct, the timeline of elevated level of cardiac markers in blood is as follows:

Myoglobin (1hr) → cTnI / cTnT (4hr) → CK-MB (4hr) → FABP (6hr) → CRP (14hr) → LD-1 (24hr).

The Firstep Cardiac Marker Test is a sandwich immunochromatographic assay, it detects cardiac markers in blood qualitatively for preliminary screening. This test should not be used as the sole criteria for the diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction, in suspected case further confirmation shall be made by physician.
